Interest is calculated daily and compounded then paid monthly or annually. The interest rate applied will depend on your balance each day. This means on any day if your balance is £500,000 or more, you will earn the higher rate for that day. If your balance falls below £500,000, you will earn the lower tier rate for that day. You can choose to have your interest paid to this account or your linked current bank or building society account.

Yes, the interest rate is variable. We can increase or decrease the rate from time to time. This may be due to changes in the Bank of England base rate (or other reference rates), other changes to our costs, changes to market conditions including interest rates paid or charged by other banks and financial institutions, or to reflect regulatory or legal changes. Please see section C of the Business Savings Terms and Conditions for further information.

The examples provided above are for illustrative purposes only to demonstrate how interest may be applied across the different balance tiers.

Higher tier rate: Balances between £500,000 and £1,000,000

Lower tier rate: Balances between £1,000 and £499,999.99

The £300,000 example is included to illustrate how the lower interest tier would apply; however, the minimum opening balance for this account is £500,000.

These examples are based on the assumption that interest is paid annually into the account and that no further deposits or withdrawals are made.

If you choose to have interest paid monthly into another account, the total interest earned will be lower, as interest will not be compounded.

These examples are for guidance only and do not take into account your individual circumstances.

FAQs

Aldermore’s tiered easy access business savings account rewards larger balances with higher interest rates, while giving you access to your savings whenever it's needed.

Aldermore's Easy Access Tiered Business Savings Account pays different interest rates depending on the balance held. Businesses with balances of £500,000 or more benefit from a higher rate of interest, making it a suitable option for those holding larger cash reserves. At the same time, businesses retain the flexibility of easy access to their funds, with no notice period required for withdrawals.

The interest rate applied to your account is determined by the balance you hold on each day. If your balance is £500,000 or above, the higher interest rate will apply. If your balance is below £500,000, the lower interest rate will apply. Please refer to the product summary for the current rates.

The Aldermore business savings rate you receive on this account depends on the balance held in your account each day. Balances between £500,000 and £1 million earn a higher rate of interest, rewarding businesses that maintain larger cash balances while retaining easy access to their funds.

If your balance falls below £500,000, the lower interest rate will automatically apply from that day. If your balance increases to £500,000 or above, the higher rate will apply again. This means the rate on your account can change depending on the funds you hold each day.

Please refer to the product summary for full details of the account terms and interest rates.
