Aldermore, the specialist bank, has provided entrepreneur David Seaton and his colleagues, with a £2m invoice finance deal, enabling them to acquire the carbon neutral, regional cleaning business, Glen Cleaning.
Established in 1983, Glen Cleaning specialises in providing cleaning services to public organisations such as schools, universities and councils. Headquartered in Bristol, Glen Cleaning operates throughout Wales and South West England and currently employs over 1,500 staff.
As well as enabling David and his team to acquire the business, Aldermore’s funding will also help support Glen Cleaning expand its operations across the UK and attract more commercial clients.
David Seaton, Chairman of Glen Cleaning, said:
“I’m really pleased to have been able to buy Glen Cleaning. The business has a well established reputation for excellent service, a broad customer base and significant potential for growth.”
“Having reached out to the Aldermore team, I found them very proactive, knowledgeable and supportive of my proposals. They provided realistic expectations of the amount of funding that could be granted and delivered exactly what they said they would.”
“Other providers I talked to, dragged their heels, changed the structure and shape of what they could offer, and didn’t instil confidence that they were organisations that I wanted to do business with.”
Alex Hazell, Business Development Manager at Aldermore, said: “We’re delighted to have helped David purchase the Glen Cleaning business.”
“David was extremely knowledgeable about the finance options available to him and set out some exciting plans for the future of the company. Ensuring our customers have the finance and support they need is something we always strive to achieve.”
