Aldermore, the specialist lender, has appointed James Young as a new Key Account Manager within its retail mortgage business. James will play an integral role, working alongside Key Account Manager Steve Hewitt, in the development and growth of Aldermore’s relationship with our key distribution partners.

James brings to the role over thirteen years of financial services experience, with particular expertise and focus in the equity release, residential mortgage and annuity sectors. Most recently, he spent a successful number of years as National Account Manager at Hodge, undertaking a lead role in planning sales, events and adviser education activity for the business development department. The major focus of this was establishing the Hodge brand within mainstream residential mortgage intermediary distribution and developing the lender’s award-winning later life lending proposition.

Jon Cooper, Head of Mortgages Omnichannel, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome James to Aldermore at an exciting time in the Bank’s journey. He brings to the role a wealth of financial services knowledge, a fantastic reputation among intermediaries, and is a well-known voice in the mortgage industry. He will take a key role in enabling us to develop and grow our capability further and continue to deliver brilliance to our customers and intermediary partners.”

James Young, new Key Account Manager at Aldermore, said: “I am pleased and eager to start my new role at Aldermore. I look forward to contributing to the continuing success of the Bank and using my industry experience to grow and sustain strong intermediary relationships. Aldermore has a refreshing culture, ambitious future plans and an excellent reputation in the industry for the high service levels it provides.”

James will begin his new role at the end of November.
