Aldermore announces changes to savings and variable mortgage rates

Specialist Bank, Aldermore, has today confirmed it will be increasing personal savings rates and variable mortgage rates by 0.25%, following the Bank of England’s decision to increase Bank Base Rate by 0.25% to 0.75%.

The following Savings account rates will increase by 0.25%:

  • Personal Easy Access Accounts (open issue 11) will increase from 1.00% to 1.25% on 31st August 2018
  • 30 Day Notice and 30 Day ISA accounts (open issues 7) will increase from 1.05% to 1.30% on 31st August 2018
  • Help to Buy ISA will increase from 1.75% to 2.00% on 31st August 2018

Business Easy Access (all issues) will increase from 0.85% to 1.00% on 31st August 2018. 

The Aldermore Managed Rate, the Bank’s standard variable mortgage rate, will increase from 4.98% to 5.23% for new and existing customers on 1st September 2018. The vast majority of Aldermore’s mortgage customers will be unaffected by this increase, as they are currently on fixed rates, but for those that will be, the Bank will be writing to them to ensure they are aware of the changes.
