Aldermore has announced changes to its commercial mortgages team structure to increase its presence in the market for both small and larger loans.

Changes have been made to the team leadership which will allow the sales teams to focus on providing a higher level service to the Commercial Property Investment and Commercial Owner-Occupied sectors, as well as the large loan (above £500,000) segment of the tailored Buy-to-Let sector. Aldermore’s standard and sub £500,000 tailored Residential Buy-to-Let business will now be aligned to the Residential Division of the Bank.

Gareth Claxton has been appointed to the new role of National Sales Manager. Having joined Aldermore two years ago, Gareth’s responsibility will now extend to managing the entire field based Commercial Lending team, as well as the delivery of the commercial mortgage sales plan and the management of our key commercial accounts.

Mark Pagett has been appointed to the new role of Lending Development Manager.  Mark will support the internal development of Aldermore’s commercial mortgage sales and completions teams and he will play an important role in assisting the Lending Managers structure the Credit Committee sized transactions.

Two Business Development Managers are now dedicated to growing our commercial mortgage presence and engaging with our broker partners across the country.

Ian Boden, Head of Commercial Mortgages and Portfolio Management at Aldermore, said:

“These changes will make it easier for our broker partners to engage with us and will provide intermediaries with one point of contact and expertise across the market. Through changing the structure of the team, we will be able to focus on building wider relationships within specific market sectors, benefitting both intermediaries and customers alike through a more tailored approach across both small and larger loans.

“I am delighted to announce the appointments of both Gareth and Mark to their new positions. With their wealth of industry knowledge and leadership experience they will be invaluable in providing our customers with the best service possible in 2016 and beyond.”
