Figures released by the Bank of England this morning have again placed Aldermore among the top two lenders to SMEs in the Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS). The Bank has been one of the top three lenders to SMEs in the Scheme for the past five consecutive quarters.

Aldermore’s net new lending to SMEs as part of the Scheme in the first quarter of 2015 was £132 million. This continues the Bank’s sustained lending growth to UK SMEs.

Commenting on the figures, Aldermore Chief Executive Officer Phillip Monks said:

“We are delighted to remain a top two lender to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Funding for Lending Scheme. This highlights our commitment to helping small and medium-sized businesses grow.

“We know how important SMEs are to the continuing economic recovery and it is imperative that banks focus on providing flexible finance for SMEs, as well as wider support in the form of good customer service. We pride ourselves on listening to our SME customers and giving them the support to focus on their business.”
