Wilmslow based, 23 Twenty Three Limited, are fast becoming a leading provider of selfy sticks to UK retailers with the help of Aldermore’s invoice finance.
The founders and Directors of 23 Twenty Three Limited, Scott Shashua, Tom Curle , Scott Thomas and Umar Kamani saw the opportunity to build a business around the recent craze of taking selfies and so began a distribution firm supplying some of UK’s biggest names in retail. The selfy sticks are an extendable pole which can hold your mobile phone allowing you to take shots of yourself from a distance with a bluetooth remote. 23 Twenty Three are also continuously innovating and expanding their product range. The latest offering is a ‘selfylens’ which can clip onto your phone to increase the camera shot to widen the lens.
After trading for just three months the firm is now supplying outlets including Selfridges, Urban Outfitters and Dixons and there appears to be no let up in demand or the company’s ambitions. Aldermore’s £250,000 invoice finance facility is providing the instant access to funds the firm needs to ensure it can meet client demand and to support their future ambitions to expand across Europe and America.
Scott Shashua, Director of 23 Twenty Three Limited said:
“The craze for selfies has really rocketed over the past year and whilst we knew our product was a great idea we could never have predicted the rate at which the company has grown. We have to import our products and with such high continuous demand the working capital from Aldermore really helps.
“I needed to find a provider that could get me funding fast. I built a good relationship with our Regional Sales Manager, Carl Finlayson, and Aldermore were helping us to make payments less than a week after we made the application! The facility Aldermore provides means we are now 100% confident that we can meet our orders no matter how big, or how quickly it’s needed.”
Leyton Jeffs, Regional Sales Director for Invoice Finance, Aldermore said:
“23 Twenty Three has a strong management team and a very innovative product. Whilst the company is new their sales have been phenomenal and it is evident that their product is in demand.
“Like 23 Twenty Three, Aldermore is also a relatively new company and knows the struggles that entrepreneurs face, so we love to be able to help firms get off the ground and make their ideas work.”
