Aldermore appoints Chris Stamper as Non-Executive Director

Aldermore, Britain's leading British challenger bank, today announces that Chris Stamper has joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Chris brings 35 years of experience in the Asset Finance arena, most recently as Director and CEO of ING Lease (UK) Ltd, a role he held from 2005 to 2013. He spent a total of 11 years at ING Lease and was responsible for over 300 staff and growing pre-tax profits from £10 million to over £56 million.

Prior to this Chris held various senior management roles at Abbey National, including Head of Business, Sales Director and Managing Director of First National Asset Finance. He began his career in 1978 working for Lombard North Central Ltd., progressing through the business to become Managing Director of Sales Finance in 1998.

He is a founding Governor of The Leasing Foundation, a best practice organisation that was established in 2012, and was a former Director of the Finance and Leasing Association and a former Chairman of their Asset Finance Division.
