Aldermore, the new British bank which has its headquarters on Peterborough's Lynch Wood Business Park, has been voted 'Best Cash ISA Provider' in the 2011 Consumer Moneyfacts awards.

Aldermore beat providers including Halifax and Nationwide Building Society to scoop the award, which was presented by TV personality Mark Durden-Smith at the Tower Hotel in London. The awards were voted for by over 50,000 savers throughout the country who took into consideration factors such as competitiveness of interest rates and product availability. Moneyfacts is one of the leading financial product comparison websites and provides 'best buy' tables to many of the UKs national newspapers.

Simon Healy, Head of Savings at Aldermore, said: "I was delighted that, in just a year since the launch of our Cash ISA range, we've been voted by the British public as one of the best financial product providers. It goes to show that you don't need to be either a big bank or based in London to come out on top!

"Since inception, we have been single-minded in our goal of bringing the UK saver a better deal in everything we do: consistently competitive rates, simple transparent products and efficient friendly service."

Aldermore employs more than 70 staff in Peterborough and offers savings and mortgages to consumers, as well as a range of business finance facilities, including asset and invoice finance and commercial mortgages, for small and medium sized companies throughout the country.
