Six members of the Aldermore mortgage team, including Managing Director Charles Haresnape, are taking on the Three Peaks challenge in July to raise funds for a community school.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.

The money raised will go towards the purchase of a new minibus for Horton Lodge Community School, based in Macclesfield, which offers education for pupils aged between two and 11 years with physical disabilities. Many children have additional learning difficulties and the school also supports children with visual, hearing and/or speech and language difficulties.

Charles Haresnape, Managing Director, Mortgages and Commercial Lending at Aldermore, said: “One of our colleagues has a son attending Horton Lodge, who are fantastic at catering for all the children’s needs and addressing the difficulties they experience in carrying out tasks that most people take for granted.

“A little goes a long way and we hope that the money we raise can be put towards a new minibus for the school, which would have a huge effect on the school’s ability to help the children, and open up the possibility for a wide variety of new experiences.”

The team will be attempting the challenge on the 4th of July. A link to their Just Giving page can be found here:
