The FSB welcomes a promising future for British SMEs at 40th annual conference

IN: Business news

Hundreds of Britain's SME leaders gathered in Manchester to attend the Federation of Small Business' fortieth annual conference over the weekend, with Chairman John Allan commenting: "Our latest survey shows the economic environment is improving and confidence is growing among FSB members."

The conference saw the FSB name the date for the next Small Business Saturday UK on the 6th December, and launch a NextGen campaign to help more young people develop enterprise skills, bridging the skills gap.

Alongside these announcements, speakers from across the major political parties, including Labour leader Ed Miliband and Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne, pledged support for small businesses, outlined in the Twitter comments below.
