StartUp Britain begins nationwide tour

IN: Business news

Saturday saw the launch of the StartUp Britain Tour, a series of events across the UK designed to educate and inspire would-be business owners.

The tour, which was launched in London by Business Minister Michael Fallon, will visit over 30 locations in the United Kingdom, including Stafford, Wrexham and Liverpool. The initiative is aiming to educate future entrepreneurs about the national and local support for new start up organisations; the event will be attended by local business leaders on hand to share their advice to potential founders. The tour will end in August with one location being crowned the UK Start Up town of 2013.

Aldermore will be keenly watching the progress of the Start Up Tour. This year, over 270,000 new businesses have started in the United Kingdom, with many going on to make a substantial impact in the fortunes of the economy. As a dedicated champion of future entrepreneurs and SMEs, the Bank is keen to support emerging companies in any way it can.
