Our Sales Support team is here to help get your deals through as efficiently as possible. To give you an insight into what a normal day looks like, Hollie Gavin shares her story.

The start of each day is welcomed with a catch up between myself and Mike Kilford, the Relationship Manager I support. Together we review what needs attention that day and agree who does what, confirm any meetings, currently virtual, and discuss priorities.
Following this catch up I dive straight into my tasks for the day. This includes understanding which deals are missing documents before being able to pay and a review of deals in my queue; then contacting these brokers to get their deals moving.
Throughout the day I make it my priority to keep my brokers up to date with their deals. Where possible I’ll always do this by making a phone call or arranging a video chat, as it’s a great opportunity to catch up with my brokers, run through where their deals are and of course check about any future opportunities that might be sent to us. It’s one of the parts of my role that I enjoy the most, developing excellent broker relationships and something I work on improving on a daily basis.
More recently the addition of Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) documentation has created a different aspect to the Sales Support role, allowing the team to play a key part in assisting our brokers who are supporting businesses who can benefit from the CBIL scheme.
Since March of this year the Sales Support team also needed to adapt and assist with a range of other areas within our Asset Finance division, such as payment deferral requests, doing our upmost to assist our customers during this difficult period.
A busy telephone line and inbox makes the day go quickly with a range of queries, be it for pricing, deal criteria, general queries and of course pay out status. I think this role makes a real difference to supporting our brokers arrange the finance their customers need and I am proud to be able to help them with this.
