The power of 10: Aldermore renews sponsorship with Formula Three trail-blazer

Aldermore, the specialist bank, today announced it has renewed the sponsorship of young motor-racing sensation, Jamie Chadwick, for the next two years. The Bank is Jamie’s principal backer for this year’s Formula Three and W Series motor racing season.

Jamie made history last year as the first female to win the coveted ‘MRF Challenge’ Formula 2000, after a series of wins in Chennai helped clinch her title. The 20 year-old is set for a bright future in the sport stepping up a gear in 2019 as it was announced that she will compete in the first ever all-female single-seater W Series.

Rather fittingly, the Bath-born star began racing 10 years ago, the same year that Aldermore became the first challenger bank in the UK. In that time, she has achieved unprecedented success, both on and off the track. Together with her record-breaking performances, she has continued to challenge the status quo of the Formula Three world and steer attitudes away from old-fashioned and conventional views – something Aldermore has consistently mirrored in the banking sector.

Jamie is one of many success stories that Aldermore are proud to have been involved with in the last 10 years, and her drive for continued success reflects the Bank’s intention to continue supporting SMEs to realise their potential and growth over the past decade.

Carl D’Ammassa, Group Managing Director, Business Finance at Aldermore, said: “Jamie is the personification of Aldermore; she has a go-getting attitude, is hardworking, and intends  to challenge norms. The Bank, like Jamie, started from humble beginnings a decade ago. We have both flourished and become heads of our respective fields. In the next 10 years, we believe Jamie has the chance to dominate the F3 sphere, and we hope to be the bank that helps SMEs to do likewise.

Jamie Chadwick echoed these sentiments and was quick to share her excitement, saying: “I’m delighted to have renewed my sponsorship with Aldermore and I know the future holds excitement and success for both of us. I intend to keep on improving and challenging misconceptions, knowing that Aldermore plan to do the same, and I look forward to continuing on my journey with them.”
