Aberdeen Concrete lays foundations for solid growth with new finance facility

Aberdeen Concrete Ltd, a family-run start-up based in Westhill, has agreed a finance facility with Aldermore to help its early growth.

Aberdeen Concrete is a concrete mixing business which supplies concrete and screed to the construction industry across Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland using a volumetric truck. The company began trading in May 2015.

Unlike many other concrete companies, Aberdeen Concrete has the facility to mix concrete onsite. This means that precise quantities can be delivered to multiple job sites with no wastage and without the need to return to base. This allows Aberdeen Concrete to operate more efficiently than many of its competitors, saving time and money for both the company and its clients.

The funding from Aldermore has allowed Aberdeen Concrete to finance its early stage growth and buy a new truck and cement hopper. The company is also hoping to bring on new staff in the near future.

Chris Graham, Director, Aberdeen Concrete Ltd, said:

“I was advised by a friend at another concrete company that they had been very happy with the service they had received from Aldermore and that their facility had really helped them grow their business. I made enquiries and was impressed that Aldermore took the time to listen to what we had to say and to pay attention to what our business actually needed.

“Our dealings with Aldermore have been quick and easy. We’re looking forward to using this finance to take Aberdeen Concrete to the next level at this exciting stage in our growth”.

Jamie Watts, Aldermore’s Regional Sales Manager, Invoice Finance, Scotland, said:

“Aberdeen Concrete was a great candidate for an invoice finance facility. As a new business with a very experienced management team and a more efficient business model than many of its competitors, the company have very strong potential for growth.

“Our relationship with Aberdeen Concrete is a great example of the support we are eager to provide to fast growing businesses across Scotland and we look forward to building our relationship with Chris and the team going forward.”
