Thirteen teams competed in the tournament consisting of 11 teams fielded by Aldermore’s introducer partners and two teams made up of Aldermore employees.
The winners from LDF were awarded the Adam Massen Memorial Cup, named after a member of Aldermore’s asset finance team who sadly passed away from a brain haemorrhage in 2014.
Over £6,000 was raised from the tournament. These funds will be donated to Headway, Aldermore’s charity of the year which promoted understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provides support and services to those suffering from brain injury, as well as their families and carers.
Andy Davies, Sales Director at LDF, said: “We enjoyed a great day at St. George’s Park. The event was a brilliant opportunity to get together with other brokers whilst supporting a great charity in Headway.
“After conceding no goals throughout the tournament, we look forward to defending our title next year.”
Jon Maycock, Sales Director, Asset Finance at Aldermore, said: “Aldermore chose Headway as its charity of the year in memory of Adam Massen, our colleague in Asset Finance who sadly passed away just over a year ago. Adam was a huge football fan so it seemed fitting to organise a fundraising five-a-side football event in memory of him, which I know he would have loved to have been part of.
“We are really grateful to all of our introducers who played. The money raised will take us closer to hitting our annual fundraising target for Headway, a charity which does fantastic work to support those who have suffered a brain injury.”
