POSTED: 3rd July 2015
IN: Newsroom

Following to the announcement that the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) will be reduced from £85,000 to £75,000 following 31 December 2015,

Commenting on the change,Simon Healy, Managing Director for Savings at Aldermore said:

“The future changes to Financial Services Compensation Scheme may not affect the majority of savers, but it is a timely reminder to make sure all your savings are fully covered.

“Customers should be aware that the FSCS covers individual members of the scheme and not each account, therefore the maximum each customer should save with an individual provider will in future be £75,000.

“The rules may not come into force just yet, but it is a good time to check that you won’t be affected by the future changes and also an opportunity to review the savings market and ensure you’re getting the best return on your savings.”

“We will be getting in touch with all our customers in the coming months to let them know about the changes.”
