Aldermore today announces the appointment of Danuta Gray as Senior Independent Director and a Non-Executive Director on its Board.

Danuta brings extensive business experience to the Board. She started her career at BT and held a number of senior roles at the company before moving to Telefónica O2 in Ireland to become its Chief Executive, a post she held from 2001 to 2010, before taking on the role of Chairman. She currently also serves on the Boards of Old Mutual PLC, Michael Page International PLC and Paddy Power PLC, and has previously served on the Boards of Aer Lingus PLC and Irish Life & Permanent PLC.

Glyn Jones, Chairman of Aldermore Bank said:

I am delighted to be able to welcome Danuta as a Senior Independent Director, she is highly respected and brings with her a wealth of business and public company experience. Danuta joins the Board of Aldermore at an exciting time for the Bank following the announcement of our intention to list on the London Stock Exchange, as we look to build on our track record of profitable growth.”

Today’s announcement, which has all required regulatory approvals, follows the recent appointments of Peter Shaw as Independent Non-Executive Director and Neil Cochrane as Non-Executive Director on Aldermore’s Board.
