Aldermore help Hertfordshire food supplier in their global growth

Aldermore has provided £80,000 to Hartham Foods, a Hertfordshire based family business that manufacture, package and distribute dried food ingredients to customers across the globe.

Colin Wilbraham and his wife Stephanie are the joint owners of the business. They switched to Aldermore after having trouble with a previous supplier and having heard good things about Aldermore from professional contacts.

Hartham Foods use their invoice finance facility to free up cash flow to buy directly from wholesalers. This ensures they buy in big enough quantities to remain ahead of the competition on price and to cater to the increasing demand they are seeing from Europe and China.

Colin Wilbraham, Managing Director of Hartham Foods said: “Our business is going from strength to strength branching into new markets across the globe. At this important time in the company’s growth, I needed a finance facility that enabled me and my family to get on with running the business without having to constantly chase the provider. Aldermore has enabled us to do that; we concentrate on expanding our business and the invoice finance facility just runs in the background with minimal effort on our part.

“My relationship with Aldermore is a new one but so far it has been excellent, they knew what I wanted from the off and got it done.”

Richard Whitehouse, Regional Sales Director for London & South East at Aldermore added:“We instantly saw the potential in Hartham Foods, it is a strong company with a strong future. Its business is simple and the whole family have a passion and flair for what they do.

“It’s great that Aldermore can support enterprising family businesses like Hartham Foods by providing simple and efficient access to funds when they need it.”
