Aldermore has provided a total of £785,000 to Securit, a Nottingham based recruitment agency supplying security staff to a range of different industries.

Securit East Midlands Director, Rick Cooke, approached Aldermore to assist with the purchase of Securit Midlands Ltd, a security business owned by his former training partner Frazer Tranter; Rick and Frazer trained together for the World’s Strongest Man. Rick acquired Frazer’s firm with the help of a £700,000 invoice finance facility and an advance of £85,000, provided by Aldermore. This enabled Rick to have the rapid access to funds he needed to grow his business

Commenting Rick Cooke, Director of Securit East Midlands, said:

“When I decided to buy Frazer’s business I expected it to be a difficult process and I worried about the impact it might have on my clients but Aldermore did most of the work and it was all up and running in less than a week, my clients didn’t notice a thing.

“Increasing property prices are creating huge opportunities for Securit as it is driving demand for security at high end show rooms. The instant access to funds that Aldermore’s invoice finance provides means I can pitch for much bigger projects than I could in the past which has really speeded up our growth."

Chris Meldrum, Regional Director at Aldermore said:

“Both Rick and Frazer were long standing Aldermore customers and ran very strong businesses so when Frazer decided to sell his business to Rick we were delighted to help. In addition to the £700,000 invoice finance we also advanced a further £85,000 to help Rick with the initial cost of acquiring Frazer’s firm.

“Rick’s business is now going from strength to strength creating jobs across Nottinghamshire. Business opportunities and acumen are abundant across the East Midlands region and it is Aldermore’s aim to help firms make the most of those opportunities; Rick’s story is proof that we’re succeeding.”
