We endeavour to actively and positively contribute to and invest in the communities in which we operate; whether that’s our national community, our local community or our community of people at each of our locations.
In 2018 Aldermore has chosen to support Independent Age, a UK charity with a mission to enable older people to stay independent and live well with dignity, choice and control.
Aldermore are aiming to raise as much money as possible in 2018 through fundraising events throughout the year across all our offices. The Bank also offers an excellent benefit of matching an additional £250 per event as part of our employee £4£ scheme.
To select their Charity of the Year, Aldermore’s employees were asked to nominate causes and the winning charity was chosen through a Bank-wide vote. Independent Age was put forward by an employee from Aldermore’s Reading office who is an existing volunteer for the charity.
Biagio Borromeo, Director of Engagement at Independent Age, said: “We are delighted that Independent Age has been chosen as Aldermore’s Charity of the Year. Together with our partners, we can help support older people to stay independent and live well, offering quality information, a strong campaigning voice, expert advice and regular contact through our friendship services. We look forward to building a successful partnership with Aldermore through the coming year.”
