Data released this week from the Office of National Statistics has shown industrial production up for the third consecutive month while, in May, research from Markit Economics found that the country's manufacturing output was at a 14-month high.
The manufacturing industry is a crucial part of the UK economy, accounting for 16 per cent of the country's gross domestic product. And since its formation in 2009, Aldermore have been working to champion those SMEs making a substantial contribution to this sector, providing products and solutions which are tailored to the needs of small businesses in the manufacturing arena.
It is with this in mind that we are delighted to announce our involvement in the 2013 EEF Future Manufacturing Awards, an annual event which recognises the work from companies across the United Kingdom.
About the EEF
Speaking about the awards, Aldermore Managing Director Rob Lankey said:
"Aldermore is proud to partner with EEF to recognise and reward the talent and great contribution that manufacturers and apprentices make to the UK economy. These awards are a testament to the talent that is being honed in the sector against a backdrop of continued economic uncertainty."
