Aldermore's Managing Director of Savings, Simon Healy took part in a live Twitter Q&A session, hosted by fellow SME champion Ingenious Britain, yesterday to address the challenges faced by UK SMEs.

The session, summarised below, covered a number of important issues for small businesses, including the role of Government and the financial sector in improving access to capital. Healy also shared his thoughts on Ingenious Britain's upcoming report, The New Business Normal, and how it is likely to impact the current climate for SMEs.

Aldermore hopes that the Bank's continued involvement in these types of initiative will raise awareness within the SME community that alternative funding sources are available to SMEs to grow their business.
