Welcome to Aldermore

This next phase of Your Aldermore Journey explains what to expect on your first day with us.

1. What to expect on your first day

You may be nervous on your first day in a new job but relax. We want your first day to be enjoyable where you take the time to orientate yourself in your new role and work place. Meet your manager

Your first day will be structured. You'll spend the first part of the day with your line manager, or designated individual responsible for you. This will give you the opportunity to discuss in detail what you will be expected to achieve in your first week, as well as chat about projects and tasks you will be working on in the coming weeks.

Meet the team
You'll also meet the team you will be working with. Take the time to discuss their job roles and how they impact or work with your role. During your discussions you'll find out about any key meetings and events you will need to be involved in on a regular basis or in your first month. These include regular team and group meetings plus key department and group wide events.

Your team will update you on department protocols such as break times, phone covers and staff rotas and anything else relevant to the department you'll be working in.

Your location
On your first day you will have a tour of the building and meet your co-workers and staff.

Depending on your role you may also get to visit some of our other offices during your first few days. Click the following links to view how you would get there as well as the office you're working in.

Peterborough Wilmslow Maidstone
Manchester Reading Birmingham
Glasgow Leeds London
Twickenham Bristol Banbury

To get you up and running we'll provide you with the new staff member essentials such as computer system logins, swipe cards, and additional security information for the location you are in. This will also include introductions to the company's telephone system, computer network and intranet.

What to wear
You will probably already have an idea about the dress code at Aldermore from your interviews. The dress code is smart business attire excluding Friday which is a dress down day, speak to your manager if you have any questions around this.

What to bring with you
Prior to your first day, please make sure you have sent all the relevant paperwork and personal documentation as previously instructed.
