Customer stories

Prolog Fulfilment operate in the global supply chain, taking in goods on behalf of their customers to then warehouse, pack and deliver, sending out approximately 30 million items a year.  It’s a growing sector as more of us continue to shop online, and it’s expected to continue on an upward trend.

Operating in a growing sector means it’s even more important for Prolog to look at ways to minimise their impact on the environment, looking at how they produce and get products sent out in the most environmentally friendly way possible.  This is something that has significant importance to the business, who have already achieved carbon neutral status through offsetting their emissions but are keen to go further.

"The carbon net zero journey for our customers is extremely important as they want to be able to say to their customers, we have used environmentally friendly ways of producing and getting it to you, at as low cost to the environment as possible.” Says Neil Daniells, chief executive of Prolog Fulfilment.

The business’ aspirations to become net zero means they are on a journey to reducing their impact through a staged process, first looking at the ways to reduce it and then through incorporating more efficient equipment and technology into the business and in the longer term, introducing solar panels on the building.
