East Sussex-based professional British eventer Francis Whittington is riding high, after taking delivery of a new 26 ton Whittaker horsebox – thanks to finance from Aldermore.

The new truck, which is on a Scania chassis with a 2016 numberplate, has six stalls for Francis’ top team of horses.  The new truck, which has been fully customised to Francis’ requirements, also has a unique Aldermore branded livery. The Bank has proudly supported Francis since it was founded in 2009.

Francis Whittington said: “I’m really thrilled with our new horsebox.  It’s simply wonderful and very practical in meeting all our needs and particularly those of the horses when we’re travelling and staying over at events.  I’ve got the best team of horses I have ever had and they deserve the best transportation there is.

“I am very grateful to Aldermore for its support over the past six years. The Bank’s help has meant that I’ve been able to concentrate on building a team of horses that are well-placed to compete and win. I now have a strong foundation and a good chance of success in this year’s competitions.”

Aldermore’s Ian Corbett, Head of Specialist Credit said: “We began our sponsorship of Francis shortly after the Bank was formed in 2009, and like Aldermore, he has gone from strength to strength over the past six years. We are proud to support Francis and delighted to be able to help raise the profile of him and his team, as well as the Bank, in the equestrian and eventing world.

“Aldermore offers funding for a wide range of assets to serve individuals and dealers in the equine, equestrian and agricultural industries from horseboxes to tractors, transporters and combines, to renewables technology, office equipment and much more besides.”

Aldermore’s Dealer Services sales team is a one-stop-shop for finance for dealers and end-customers like Francis. The team comprises experienced senior relationship managers from the transportation, agriculture, construction and materials handling industries, with dedicated support throughout the Bank’s asset finance business.
